What does pre-Master FEB at the University of Groningen mean?
Want to do a master’s programme at the FEB, but don’t meet the requirements for it yet? Then the pre-Master programme at the University of Groningen can help you! The pre-Master program is for all college students who want to follow a master in economics or business faculty. The programme at the University of Groningen lasts 1 year. At this particular university, you must obtain 60 EC, if you want to be automatically be admitted to a Master programme.
Just like the other courses, the pre-Master programmes start in September. You can choose between a standard pre-Master program, a non-standard pre-Master program and a tailor-made program. If you have passed all the courses of the pre-Master program, you will be automatically admitted to the master program.
If you have completed at least 50 EC of the pre-Master program, including EC for mathematics and business economics research methods, you can request an extension for a maximum of one year. This will give you more time to complete the courses that you failed. Did you obtain less then 50 EC or did you fail the compulsory courses completely? Then, unfortunately, you are not able to participate in the pre-Master and Master’s programm.
The pre-Master program is completely in English. Therefore, it’s important that your English level is advanced enough to follow the program without any problem. Keep in mind that most students find the mathematics course very challenging. This means that an adequate level of mathematics is required.
