Below you find the answers to questions that have been most frequently asked to our customer service. Is your question not here? Contact our customer service (klantenservice@slimacademy.nl) or WhatsApp. We are reachable by phone on working days between 13:00 and 17:00.

Subscriptions

You can cancel your subscription by sending an email to our customer service: klantenservice@slimacademy.nl. Keep in mind a month’s notice period. So make sure you have sent an email before the first day of the month!

In the college year of purchase, our subscriptions have a fixed term until the end of that college year. This means that in the first college year of your subscription, you cannot cancel it. After the end of this academic year, your subscription can be cancelled on a monthly basis and you can therefore decide which month you want to cancel this subscription.

Of course, when determining the price of a subscription, we have taken into account the fact that you receive fewer or no products in the summer, so that you never pay too much with a subscription and are always cheaper than buying separate summaries.

When taking out your subscription for college year, you could choose between paying per month or paying per year. In both cases, however, you took out a subscription for the college year that runs until 31 August. This means the monthly collection will continue through August.

The delivery time depends on the release dates of the products you have ordered. All booklets will be sent to you as soon as they are available. The specific shipping dates can also be found in your order confirmation.

Have you ordered multiple products with different release dates? We will then send these on the dates they are available. You can receive multiple envelopes from us. Of course you don’t pay any extra shipping costs for this. After sending, the booklets will be delivered to you the next day, depending on the delivery of PostNL. 

The delivery of PostNL takes place as follows:

95% of summaries ordered before 19:00 are delivered the next business day. 5% of summaries ordered before 19:00 are delivered after two working days.

Please note that PostNL only delivers on Tuesday to Saturday.

 

The digital summaries are only available until the end of the academic year, after which the license has expired. As of September 1, all old summaries have been removed from the digital box. You can also find this in the sales conditions.

You can indicate via your Slim Academy account when you want to receive which booklets. If you go to order history you can indicate a shipping date.

 

The summaries always come online on the day of the publication date. The summaries are also sent by post on the day of the publication date. You can always look up the publication date by looking up the relevant summary in the webshop. Video: When will my summary be published?

 

The subscription has a number of advantages compared to the total package:

-You will have to pay the order costs once with a subscription while you have to do this every time for a total package (this is € 2.95 per order). 

-You will also receive the old booklets instead of just the new booklets so that you can study right at the start of the term. 

-All booklets are available on paper as well as digitally.

When purchasing a subscription you will always receive all summaries that have already been published and for which the exam has not yet taken place. If you still need these summaries, because you have to do a re-sit for example, please email our customer service and we will see what we can do for you.

This is because we always base the price of a subscription on the amount of booklets included in the subscription. A subscription with 50 booklets therefore also costs more than a subscription for which only 30 booklets are published.

You can. When cancelling a rotating subscription, Slim Academy looks at how many booklets you have received. If you have received a bigger percentage of the booklets than the number of months you have paid for, you cannot cancel immediately.

Example: You can get a maximum of 12 booklets, and have had 9 booklets delivered and want to cancel in November. You have then had 75% of the booklets and paid only 25% of the year. You can then cancel in May (75% of the year).

An order cannot be adjusted afterwards. Best thing to do is cancel your order by emailing klantenservice@slimacademy.nl and buy the right summary/subscription. 

With a Lifetime Subscription you are always up-to-date with all relevant material within your field after graduation. You have digital access to all new summaries for all courses of your study. The summaries are uploaded after the exam in your digital Slim Academy environment. For only 48 euros per year you stay informed of all (academic) developments within your field!

Pay attention! Lifetime Subscriptions can only be purchased by former customers of Slim Academy, Slimstuderen.nl and Capita Selecta.

Our subscriptions have a fixed term of 12 months. This means that you cannot cancel your subscription in the first 12 months after taking out your subscription. After the end of these 12 months, your subscription can be canceled monthly, so you can decide for yourself which month you want to cancel this subscription.

Of course, when determining the price of a subscription, we have taken into account the fact that you will receive fewer or no products in the summer, so that you never pay too much with a subscription and it will always be cheaper than buying individual summaries.

When purchasing your subscription for the academic year, you could choose between a payment per month or a payment per year. In both cases, however, you have

a subscription for the academic year that runs up to and including 31 August. This means that the monthly direct debit will continue until August. We have of course taken this into account when determining the price, so that you never pay too much.

This depends on your situation. When we offer summaries for your upcoming academic year, we automatically convert your subscription into a subscription for the new academic year. If you had a bachelor 2 subscription this year, for example, you will automatically receive the summaries of bachelor 3 next year.

If you are now in (for example) bachelor 3 and we do not offer summaries for the master, we will change your subscription into a lifetime subscription, which means that you will have access to all summaries of the study (after your study has ended), so that you can use it as a reference in your further career.

The price of your subscription may change. We will of course send you an informative email about this in August. In the unlikely event that you decide to cancel your subscription, you can simply let us know by email before 1 September.

If we have not received a cancellation from you, your subscription has indeed continued. You can cancel your subscription by sending an email to klantenservice@slimacademy.nl. We will then stop your subscription at the end of the month.

Unfortunately it is not technically possible for us to convert the subscription. You can purchase a new subscription yourself via the website. As soon as you have done this, you can send an email to klantenservice@slimacademy.nl stating your order number. We will then cancel the wrong subscription.

As long as the summaries have not yet been sent, this is possible. Please contact customer service as soon as possible. If you only have the summaries digitally, please also contact us.

All our subscriptions end at the end of the school year (august), after that it can be canceled monthly.

Canceling/returning orders

You can cancel your purchase by returning the booklets to us in unused condition. The shipping costs are for your own account. We kindly ask you to write on the envelope ‘Cancel Slim Academy – order number.

The summaries can be returned to:

Make sure you also get a shipping receipt. As soon as we receive a copy of your proof of shipment in our mailbox, we can continue the cancellation process.

Cancellation is not possible. If the publication date of your summary is still in the future, please send an email to klantenservice@slimacademy.nl as soon as possible and put in the subject cancel – order number.

When you order a summary, you can indicate how you want to receive it. There are several options here:

  • Only on paper
  • On paper and digital access
  • Only digital

When you choose one of the last two options, you also get digital access to your summary. You will immediately receive an email as soon as your summary is available to create your account to be able to read your summaries digitally.

Your summaries are available throughout the academic year. We delete the documents at the end of the academic year. It is not possible to print a digital summary.

You can read the summary via the internet (slimstuderen.mydox.nl) or in one of our apps for your phone, tablet or Windows 10 PC. Search for Slim Academy in the app store and you will find our apps automatically! At the moment our apps are only available in the Dutch app store.

Payments/costs

The subscription is always debited around the 25th of the month. You pay afterwards. (For example: on September 25th you pay for the month of September).

A collection that has once failed cannot be executed again. You will automatically receive a payment reminder with the information to transfer the amount manually. You can also transfer it manually to: SLIMSTUDEREN BV, NL81 ABNA 0590 3250 00.

The money will be returned to your account within 14 days.

Send an email to klantenservice@slimacademy.nl and include a screenshot of the duplicate statement and include your order number.

For sending the booklets you pay a contribution of €1.95. This amount is lower than the actual postal rates and than the amounts charged by other providers.

You can pay at Slim Academy in three ways:

Automatic collection

You can authorize SlimStuderen B.V. to debit the amount of the order from your account once. You fill in your account number with your order for this. We will immediately process your order and debit the money from your account after a few days. This payment method is free.

iDEAL

Of course you can also pay with iDEAL at SlimStuderen.nl. We will also process your order immediately with this payment method. We charge € 0.50 for this payment method.

Credit card

Finally, you can also pay with your credit card. As with the other payment methods, we will process your order immediately. We charge € 0.50 for this payment method.

Tip: direct debit is the most economical way of payment!

Do you have to pay manually after, for example, a failed collection? Then you can transfer this to the account number (IBAN) of Slim Academy B.V.: NL81 ABNA 0590 3250 00.

Delivery

If your booklet was shipped more than 2 business days ago, please email our customer service department with your order number.

If you have not received anything after more than 2 working days, you can contact our customer service via klantenservice@slimacademy.nl. They can find out for you where the problem is. Please note that PostNL only delivers on Tuesday to Saturday.

 

That can happen! You can change the address in your Slim Academy account as soon as possible. If your order is already on its way, we can still ship it. You can contact us via klantenservice@slimacademy.nl

Tip: Check your order confirmation to see if your booklet is already available on the site, you can often buy the booklets before they are actually available.

That can happen! You can change the address in your Slim Academy account as soon as possible. If your order is already on its way, we can still ship it. You can contact us via klantenservice@slimacademy.nl

Discount codes

Unfortunately it is not possible to apply the discount code afterwards. You can only cancel your order if your booklets have not yet been shipped. You can do this by emailing our customer service. Then put in the subject cancel – order number. Or use your code for your next purchase :).

Check if the code is still valid. Send an email to customer service and let us know which code you are using. We can then check what is going wrong.

Exam trainings

Supplements

You can find the supplements by logging into your Slim Academy Account. You can then go to the ‘Supplements’ tab. There you can find all the supplements of your summaries. Alternatively, you can also go to the relevant booklet via the webshop. You can also find a link to the supplements on the order page of the booklet.

Supplements are additions to a summary. For example, if the last lecture has yet to be given, but the summary has already been made, the summary of this lecture will be added to your account as a supplement.

When the supplements will be online, depends on which study you do. In general we try to publish the summaries as soon as possible after the lectures. The publishing date is determined by the lecture days. Of course, we also look at when it is most convenient for you to receive your booklet! This gets determined per term and we put this information on the supplement page in the summary.

My Slim Academy Account

Log in to https://slimacademy.nl/shop/login with the information you used to place an online order. If you did not order online, create new login details yourself (email address plus password).

You can read the digital summaries via the website https://slimstuderen.mydox.nl/ and the Slim Academy app. You can also download the summaries via the app and read them offline.

Your username is always your email address, fill it in and then you can click on forgot password.

You can change the address by logging into your Slim Academy account and changing your details there. Please note, the change only applies to summaries that have not yet been sent.

 

You will receive an activation email as soon as your first booklet comes out, see publication date. If you still have an activation link, please contact our customer service.
